But yeah, the could not have used someone from China as that is now 30% of the cinema market so all studios now shy away from Chinese villains. Also, they were going to use someone from the Middle East, but due to anti Muslim propaganda fear mongering, they went a different route. There are rumours that we have yet to see the last of Mandarin in the MCU and the actor cover may have been a diversion according to statements the cast and crew have said. We will see...

So I guess I should say it would have been nice if Mandarin in the movie was oriental specifically Chinese lol.
