I don't even watch the super-flicks in the theaters; I view the phenomenon as the latest source of fad-entertainment, one that Hollywood will inevitably run dry. Nor do I really care about Marvel/Disney/DC/Time-Warner's collective fates as publishing companies.

For what it's worth, I'm sorry this stuff seems to vex you so and I'm glad you were able to get that off your chest. I find opining about these things entertaining and a distraction from life's stressors. I also find it more than "passing strange" (to borrow from Thor) that there have been no FF figs in quite some time...we haven't even seen many ancillary characters - what was the last Legend? Terrax?..Blastaar?..but more for his relation to Annihilation than FF. Forget the brouhaha regarding movie rights **which happens to be real and not just representative of fanboy conjecture, but written about by journalists -if you can consider bloggers to be such- and supported by comic-culture-media** , or even the ominous (to some) comic cancellations...that stuff aside, I think we can all agree that FF and its pantheon of characters constantly rank in polls of figs for which fans want service. Why not deliver? Why leave the cupboard bare when you know these figs would move and that you could make money?

There has to be some reason for what feels very much like a blackout regrading FF figs. I strongly doubt that it's simply because the books suck. Don't worry, this isn't a flame war. This is just a discussion. Where are the figs? It's not a matter of weak brand recognition (due to flagging FF sales)...we got Hellcat, Batroc, and Machine-Man recently. I'm not sure one can get any more obscure than those characters and FF figs could've/should've seen the light of day before them..even though I'm very happy with Aaron and Patsy!
Blue Marvel, and really to everyone who responded to my rant...thank you for the thoughtful and articulate responses, as well as the open minds you all had in order to post them. I've made statements and posts on similar sites and boards in the past, and it was embarrassing how quick the conversation devolved into name calling and the flexing of keyboard muscles. You all made great points, and honestly, it was fantastic (pardon the wordplay) to not hear everyone screaming "Disney is ruining my childhood! They took my comics and toys away because of Fox! Oh...and they hate George Lucas too!" for a change. The bashing gets old after a while, and while I'm not a fan of "big evil corporations"...at the same time, I really don't think that Disney gets as involved with things as we would like to believe, which is why it vexes me so much. It really makes us fans and nerds alike look petty and childish to make accusations about things we know little to nothing about (other than what's reported to us through credible sources...something most blogs and youtubers these day are not. Everyone wants to be a journalist these days...lol.)

And while I am not a huge FF fan honestly, I would love a Future Foundation set to go with my poor Spidey. He's all dressed up with nowhere to go. That said...I do rather like the FF group that I have to represent in my collection.

I'll admit, the movies weren't all that great, but some awesome and well sculpted figures came out of them, and they work well with all the Marvel movie-verse stuff out there today!

Oh god...don't get me started on that one. The nerd rage boils so much when I hear that one. LOL...

Unless you catch someone in the aisle with 3 or 4 of those highly sought after Daredevils or Rocket Racoons, pushing over children and glaring at you with death in their eyes when they catch you eyeballing their trophies, chances are those figures were grabbed by a regular everyday Joe like myself ten minutes before you got there, with a little luck and a little bit of extra time on my hands.

And no...I don't camp out in front of stores at 9am waiting for my local Target or TRU to open so I could be the first to pick over the good stuff. I just needed to pick up some more TP for the house, and some formula for the baby... =P
