I am more savage than finesse. I would rather use dynamite than a dremmel. I just grabbed scissors and lobbed off the ball on the top of the post. The remaining neck is just big enough to sit quite firmly in the head hole. Nice length as well....
I will put some pics up tomorrow.

You could dremmel out the head or shave down the neck and re-carve the ball post.... either of those ways are proper. I am a guerrilla customization type of guy. If it doesn't fit, you're not pushing hard enough!!
