Yeah, but Daken didn't have mainstream media headline exposure. The only press Daken has had is literally "wolverine's son." Even that, the casual consumer is mostly unaware of it. I'm not saying North Star is as well known as say Spider-man or Iron Man, but it is indeed odd that the one character who had a widely known wedding comic, is the one figure that keeps being ousted from being released. Even considering the first time was because that was during the line transition to new packaging, the second time he was ousted from release has no logical defense.

It's annoying to me, because out of Alpha Flight we have 3, technically 4 members released(if you count snow bird!) and we should be closer to a complete team minus Sasquatch, Vindicator, and Shaman.

I am all for more female figures being made, but there's really a few pairings that it's silly to have one but not the other - Aurora/Northstar is one of them, much the same if they had released Dagger but not Cloak.

I also wonder if this has anything to do with them locking down on X-Men related characters though, but if that's the case why did they release Aurora, Bishop, Beast....I mean really though what is the exact deal that he's been delayed 2 times now? There can't seem to be anything with the actual figure that would be that difficult to make is there?
Cyclops too, and Emma Frost coming up. Also, unlike Bishop who is a completely original mold with new tooling, North Star is a mold that's been previously completed on a very common buck, and is packaged and ready to go. It's also only stateside he hasn't been released where his wedding issue had the most headlines and also may have the biggest outcry from the bigoted 'mom' groups. I wonder if Hasbro is stalling for that to die down first still, or if they're going to keep pushing his release back.

For that matter, the only character released with any kind of sexual identity outside of straight before their figure release have been Daken and Mystique. Both are more commonly considered to be villains.

(On the other hand though, Hasbro did release Arcee over in generations, and that character has been written as a transgender cybertronian twice over in the comics, granted her appearance is more in line to her G1 toon self that public knowledge and exposure is that she's female in.)
