Everyone else is the same, under articulated bodies that Bishop, Black Cat, & Big Time Spider-Man had
About even really.

The old buck was the swivel elbows and knees. The second old buck had bicep swivel and no leg swivel. The line has always varied on articulation across the board. The first Captain america figure, black panther, and even Ultron/Dr. Doom all had various degrees of articulation different from each other. There has never been one standard buck of articulation they use.

Then the third buck generation had too many swivels. We really didn't need shin swivel when it had the rotate foot and thigh swivel.

If the cost cutting is working to provide more unique tooling though. Is the trade off worth it? To me it is. We may lose wrist swivels, and occasionally torso swivel, but we're getting complete newly tooled parts that are more character specific in the details. Sam Wilson Cap and Lady Thor look like almost complete new molds entirely. Machine man looks like he uses the older human torch buck. So that makes me curious on his arms. Superior Ironman looks like a new chest unibeam and has a new head.

So while some toolings are completely original, they are still finding unique ways to mix up and reuse older too. This is giving us a diverse line-up and providing the fodder that retailers want. Retailers want the big names. They want Cap, Thor, Wolverine, and Spider-man. Hasbro and Marvel are using that to their advantage though. We are getting Cap, Thor, Spider-man and the much beloved new Captain Marvel, but we're getting them in more diverse ways now. Sam Wilson cap is still a captain america on shelves for retailers. Lady Thor is still a Thor on shelves for retailers. Noir Spider-man is still spider-man. Hasbro and Marvel are playing the retailer game, but doing so on their terms to provide a diverse selection.

This is a great way to appease fans and keep major retailers ordering cases.

As more Marvel movies come out and the exposure increases to what major retailers want, we might start seeing larger expansions. Other names will be added to that list like Black Panther and more. Personally I can't wait until we see a Shuri Black Panther in the line and her eventual White Tiger mold reuse.
