there is a difference between "evolution" and an obvious attempt to draw in a different demographic at the expense of your core fan base with what basically amounts to publicity stunts. plus the 2 X-movies (three if you don't count the shit box 5 POA Wolverine Figs we got)that we didn't get any merchandise for were the films released after Marvel was acquired by the mouse, including the Marvel select Mystique played by Jenifer Laurence, (is she "marketable" enough for you?) coincidence? If you think every X-man has become " un marketable" overnight, and every Avenger becoming black, Muslim, or a woman overnight is "natural" I don't have a response. and as far as Marvel "laughing all the way to the bank... name two chain stores that actually carry physical comic books? the sad truth is they can get away with shitty writing political pandering, kill offs and emasculation of characters because NO ONE READS COMICS ANY MORE! Disney didn't buy Marvel to put out gritty cutting edge writing they make big budget summer movies and figuratively wipe there asses with print.
