The embargo is very real. Anyone who doesn't see that is burying their head in the sand and believing the lies they're being feed. Disney wants to eliminate these characters in the public eye in favor of ones they own fully. This is why there haven't been any X or FF reveals and why there won't be.

They're being taken off of t shirts and video games. How many waves of Legends since we've had an X or FF character? Excluding the exclusive. Yeah, some stuff has made it out, but we've seen from statue makers that things that were far enough down the line and close to being finished were fine. They're playing a long game here. They want it so in 10-15 years kids and young adults won't even know who these characters are. And it'll work if people honestly think the reason we haven't had an X character in a wave of Legens in 2 years is because of a "lack of popularity."

The movies are the thing now. Everything else is supplemental to that. I'd wager to say that we're only a few years off from not even being able to find comic versions of characters that don't resemble their movie counterparts. It's all about brand synergy and no toyline or comic book or video game is earning billions with a "B". I hate to be the barer of bad news, but I am.
