After retreating from a fight with Ace no Joe's newest mech Goryu, Maito discovers that a giant asteroid is headed straight for Earth. What solution is that but that blast it head on with Earth's mightiest weapon? Might Gunner is first introduced as the Dan Gan Express (Bullet Express) with no apparent AI built in yet. After a short fight with Goryu Maito flies Great Might Gaine up into Earth's atmosphere and prepares the Perfect Cannon only to find that the fight had exhausted too much of Great Might Gaine's energy reserves. As all hope seems lost Goryu flies up towards Great Might Gaine. Is he up for a rematch? No. He came to help! Attaching Goryu to the Perfect Cannon as well they blast the asteroid into next year.

His vehicle mode is another steam train similar to Locomoriser. Its guns at the back can move up and down. Another improved colour scheme. Its original green was VERY bright.

Afterwards an AI is placed into the Dan Gan Express officially making him the last Brave Express member to join the team. Despite carrying a BFG in his chest he is all about accuracy.

His robot mode is pretty basic. Two articulation again. I do like the head sculpt though.

He has a weapon called the Self (serufu?) cannon which is not used in the anime.

He has a gun handle on his back and you can 'load' him up and fire

Might Gaine, Might Kaiser and Might Gunner together.

Great Might Gaine is Might Gaine on steroids. Kaiser Drill bulks up Might Gaine's body and Kaiser 4 and 5 become shoes while Kaiser 3 and 2 becomes arm weapons. He also gains wings and a V crown. Its a good upgrade though his arm length has always bothered me. A bit too short for this form.

Add in Might Gunner and you have Great Might Gaine Perfect Mode. The gun handle remains on Might Gunner

. This mode is HUGE! One of the more impressive 'Great' Braves.

The Great Might Gaine set is great. Especially the reissue with better colour scheme. But it takes up a lot of space. But most Braves do

. I'm just dissapointed that Might Kaiser's individual vehicles do not have bot modes.
