But yeah...if you don't know your product, maybe you shouldn't try selling it. I know jack of anything about cars, so the last thing I would try to do is become a car salesman. Same thing for this guy.

I just hope that he didn't actually pay for that, and is trying to flip it in hopes of making a buck because he honestly thought in that 90's mindset that "variants and packaging mistakes = big bucks." Bout the only person I can see grabbing it is someone who needs that particular Sinestro for some reason...
Please don't bring up the 90's and the way 'pseudo-collectors' went about purchasing comics and toys, some of us are old enough to remember the good ole' bad days. However, as the saying goes, everything old is new again...and the get rich quick personality types are grabbing everything they think may end up worth money, despite having no interest or formalized knowledge in whatever it is they are buying.

About this seller, I'm glad you could appreciate where I was coming from with that comment. In spite of the 'collector casing' for the Joe and turtle figs (mind you, casing with no grading certificate - not that any of that stuff means jack to me...I collect loose), I'm leaning toward 'clueless' based on the hodgepodge of toys he/she has listed. Where do you think they acquired these items? I'm guessing storage auction...Unfortunately, if this person is a clueless opportunist, the jackpot they hit with the TMNT (heading toward $400) and the Joe (approaching $100) figs will only encourage them to double down on their efforts to find and resell old toys. The only credit I will give this seller is that, whomever they are, they are smart enough to start auctions at a penny...it's best to let the 'market' determine what something is worth when it seems like you don't know shit about what you are doing.

@3233rafael

I'm not going to re-quote that long post, but I do want to thank you for sharing that bit of good news. I would have overlooked that article, due to yahoo having my reading interests pegged as Politics/Crime/or Sports. In any event, I think that large 'brick & mortar' outlets competing with online retail benefits consumers (us) in the long run. Let them duke it out for our patronage, with the winner being those that can deliver what we want at the cheapest price. If this trend continues, I might actually forgo online shopping and join many other collectors in the 'hunt' at Walgreens/Walmart/Target/TRU. I actually did pick-up and pricematch two Hulk three pack sets here in the NY/NJ/CT tristate last Sunday. There was so much discussion on this thread that I made it a mission to track the set down. Obviously, I was successful lol
