Walmart's policy however states that if they price match with another competitor on the online price, that the item has to be available and in stock for order, and not listed as "in stores only." When I initially showed the Target's online prices as I tried to make my purchases today, the manager explained this to me and asked if I could click on the item so they could check availability.

Thankfully though, my local Walmart must have been built during the Cold War or something and have walls of lead, as my phone was unable to get any sort of reception at all at that exact moment. After a moment or two of the manager and cashier standing around waiting for the new page to load, the manager caved, telling the cashier to go ahead and ring up the $12.33 price, and even apologizing for the crappy service in the building, remarking that they have the same issue with their phones whenever they try and use them...heh.
Awesome! Good find.

About this seller, I'm glad you could appreciate where I was coming from with that comment. In spite of the 'collector casing' for the Joe and turtle figs (mind you, casing with no grading certificate - not that any of that stuff means jack to me...I collect loose), I'm leaning toward 'clueless' based on the hodgepodge of toys he/she has listed. Where do you think they acquired these items? I'm guessing storage auction...Unfortunately, if this person is a clueless opportunist, the jackpot they hit with the TMNT (heading toward $400) and the Joe (approaching $100) figs will only encourage them to double down on their efforts to find and resell old toys. The only credit I will give this seller is that, whomever they are, they are smart enough to start auctions at a penny...it's best to let the 'market' determine what something is worth when it seems like you don't know shit about what you are doing.

@3233rafael

I'm not going to re-quote that long post, but I do want to thank you for sharing that bit of good news. I would have overlooked that article, due to yahoo having my reading interests pegged as Politics/Crime/or Sports. In any event, I think that large 'brick & mortar' outlets competing with online retail benefits consumers (us) in the long run. Let them duke it out for our patronage, with the winner being those that can deliver what we want at the cheapest price. If this trend continues, I might actually forgo online shopping and join many other collectors in the 'hunt' at Walgreens/Walmart/Target/TRU. I actually did pick-up and pricematch two Hulk three pack sets here in the NY/NJ/CT tristate last Sunday. There was so much discussion on this thread that I made it a mission to track the set down. Obviously, I was successful lol
Lol...You said it best, "Let them duke it out for our patronage, with the winner being those that can deliver what we want at the cheapest price".

Now that's funny because in the end, if you don't have that Sinestro, you just might get a hell of a deal.
