I love how people say "they" are going to erase her scenes in the outfit. You have George Lucas to blame for the revisions, not people who are trying to retire the Slave Leia look.

I think it would be obnoxious to change the movie, but who cares otherwise? Seriously.

What will people be missing out on if there isn't a Slave Leia figure or statue ever made again? Leia had tons of cool outfits, and there really isn't anything cool about Slave Leia. Sure, it's iconic in that sort of pulp way, but it isn't showing her in the most dignified light she's ever been in, and that's the point. For many people Slave Leia is a sexual object, and I do think that dilutes the character's power in some ways.

Leia being a prisoner was part of the plot and was interesting. Her being a prisoner in a bikini is total cheesecake. You can't deny it, and it's a person's own business what they do with that fact. For the guy making a comparison to Han as a point of "objectification", that argument might hold ground if Han was in a skimpy speedo or something.

Look people, I don't expect anyone to change their mind about this, but just think about it. I'm not a fan of revisionist history at all, but I can't stand the "the P.C. police are taking our rights" nonsense over action figures in bikinis possibly getting retired.
