The "I" is part of my question, would you meaning you, be upset if I, meaning me, were to get something you, again meaning you, love banned, simple question. because at the end of the day all of the social activist groups are made of individuals, who from my experience tend to exclude the individual so they can make blanket statements. I want you to tell me how you'd feel if I banned something you love.
as far as why companies capitulate, the squeaky wheels get the grease, most people would look at this conversation and say who the fuck cares. but ultimately in our social justice joke age if you can get a couple people with no lives to complain loud enough you intimidate companies with fear of a "social backlash" if they don't bow to your demands. that's not a free market. it's actually fascist by definition. they made more bikini Leah's because they sell. no kid wants Leah in the iconic white gown (which she was wearing when she was rescued by her brother, a male, and a misogynistic space pirate, also male, got a problem with that?) because it's boring, Leah's most bad ass moment in the whole trilogy was choking Jabba's ass to death with her chains!
