Some of them are.. The tie fighter especially.

The transformers are pretty solid. The millenium falcon and star destroyer are especially solid.

Now, the directions say that you should fold some of the tabs and twist others. I've found that twisting all of them makes the connections a lot tighter.

You should also look ahead in the directions so that you know which parts are going where and how they're going to fit together. You don't get to make very many mistakes. The more times you fold the perforated edges, the more likely you are to break the piece.

Also, I'd recommend getting a good pair of tweezers, a small pair of pliers, and especially a set of flat jewelry cutters. The jewelry snippers will make it A LOT easier to remove the pieces from the sheets.

Oh, and I think the most difficult thing to do is making cylindrical pieces..so, it helps to have a pencil, or something small and cylindrical to bend those pieces around.
