It's definitely an interesting looking figure, and I definitely appreciate that it's actually something we'll be seeing in the movie, I can't help but feel like it's a waste of plastic. Doesn't help that the name of the figure gives away that the scene it's based on is just a nightmare.

I mean... I think I'll get it, but just for the C&C piece. The grapnel gun looks too cool not to complete, and all five of the other figures are ones that I want.

Seems like a backdoor into a 'Return of DCUC' wave...
If I'm remembering the news from SDCC correctly, the Mattel reps were talking about the 6" Multiverse figures as a line rather than a one-off kind of thing.

Though this is still Mattel, so for all we know we've already seen all there will ever be to the line. We'll just have to wait and see. I just hope they don't show off a buch of figures at Toy Fair and then can the line before any of them make it to retail.

Speaking of Icon, or more appropriately 'DC Icons', for some reason this much heralded line just isn't floating my boat. I can't get past the idea of them falling apart like the old DC direct figs did...and this is from a collector that displayed them only, neither playing with them nor posing them much. One topple off the display could feature a head or limb snap...I have no evidence, obviously, that the same would occur with the Icons, but I can't shake the feeling. The sculpts, while interesting, don't exactly 'pop' for me either. I've yet to see a fig from Icons outside of Firestorm that makes me excited about the line. But that's just me and my voice on this matter is most definitely in the minority...
DCC has made some significant improvements this past year. I can't guarantee anything about the Icons line or any of their other future figures, but I highly doubt they'll have any major QC issues to them. The first wave of Batman Animated figures seemes to have really opened up their eyes, and they've proven they can do better, much better than they were doing.
