Some movies are rotten but contain superb elements. Some things about a movie that sucks generally can nevertheless have meaning for you. Some movies that you enjoyed upon their release seem weak in retrospect. Respecting the shared interests of our community here at the Ark, those being predominantly Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror, some of my enduring favourites are:

- 1984
- 2010
- 28 Days Later
- Alien and Aliens
- Army of Darkness
- Batman Begins
- Escape from New York
- Flatliners
- Highlander
- K-PAX
- LOTR Trilogy
- Mad Max 2
- Nightmare 3
- Predator
- Raiders of the Lost Ark
- Resident Evil
- Robocop (Weller)
- Serenity (Firefly)
- Star Trek 2 and 4
- Star Wars OT
- Stargate
- T2
- The Matrix
- They Live
- Things To Come

Il Cattivo mentioned the Lethal Weapon series. Funny that nobody has ever produced figures for Riggs and Murtaugh!

I share 3233Rafael's love for the Godfather. And good Westerns. There sure has been a dearth of those lately. Violent shoot-em-ups with stupid one-liners are no substitute.

Here's a question for another thread: "Which stories would you like most to see made into movies OR remakes?"
Good question...there's a bunch of movies I'd like to see a remake of just for the new technology, but, I'm afraid they'll mess it all up. Imagine the Warriors with new baseball fury suits or the Wraith with the futuristic car and an actor that actually knows how to act...the possibilities are endless! Lol
