They apparently were not made for very long. I was discussing them with a Warhammer friend and couldn't remember the name so I went hunting and when I finally found them online I realized they had only been made for about a year before the company importing them filed for bankruptcy. At that point I knew I had to find them so I spent all of last weekend combing through the depths of my parents attic, basement, and shed. 12 hours later I came out victorious!

I bought a nice shelf for my home office and plan to start a display for them, I'm currently looking to finish the collection as I'm missing a few of the US release ones. Luckily I have the rarest items:

SciRoid Battleship, Master figures and weapons with projectiles. These were apparently only ever sold in sears catalogs and are very limited production.

RAMM Mail in's, the set of the (3) gold guys are mail in UPC code only. I had to save up the UPCs off the back of all the common boxes to send in for these.

Khan, hes the single guy in the plastic box. Hes the only one made from metal and hes about twice as tall (the others are about 1-1.25 inches, this guys about 2-2.5?). He is also hand painted and is a mail in UPC code item only just like the RAMMs. He was the most expensive of the UPC code turn in's.

These were actually used to play a game where you would select a group and a leader without showing your opponent and then select one each to fight from your group (the pods which came in different colors, the blue one I have in the battleship picture was used to hide them once selected). Based on the color one would win over the other, if they were the same color you would revert to a number on there foot and whichever was higher won. Leaders and RAMMs always won vs common guys and a leader/RAMM vs another would revert to the foot number. Khan had no number and would automatically win vs anything you put against him. The mail in RAMMs are the highest foot numbered guys in the game as far as i can tell. Commons land anywhere from low single digit numbers to high teens ish. Leaders (mutants) are usually a bit higher than that, and the mail in RAMMs I have are in the high 40's-50s. I dont have any of the standard gold RAMMs so I dont know where those land.
