At the risk of sounding like the barbers from the classic Eddie Murphy movie "Coming To America," why is it that every time someone brings up the Legends Venom, someone has to mention the Select version? Can we seriously stop comparing the two? It really is a case of apples and oranges, and is like comparing Black Series Star Wars figures to Star Wars Elite figures. They are two completely different brands with different points of articulation and scale, and neither work particularly well with the other.

I love the Select Venom just as much as everyone else, but it would look entirely out of place with a Marvel Legends collection, for as nice as the figure is, it is simply too big. This Legends version of Venom is simply the best Marvel Legends version of this character that there is date, including the Toy Biz days. My Select Venom is awesome, but as awesome as he is, he stands posed on my shelf collecting dust. The Legends one is getting played with when he finally arrives...
