If you're familiar with Toy Biz era Legends figures, it's really not all that different. Since the toy had remained in the package for over ten years, I did give it a nice warm bath in water before I attempted to move any of the joints because of possible paint lock (which there was on the tentacles) but once that was done, I've had no problems with him since. Plastic is nice and solid, paint apps crisp and clean, and those articulated thumbs...goodness was some of the ToyBiz stuff really good when they were on point.

The only issue I've had is that due to his sculpt, he has a sort of wide gait at the hips, and no ankle rocker, but I plan on posing Doc like this or in something similar to it when I get the room, so it's of no bother. Granted, I am cheating a little with this pose, as I have him slightly leaning on the bins behind him, but the fact that I can pose the Doc like this to begin with is awesome.

The price was a little hefty (I paid a little over forty dollars shipped) but considering that I've been waiting for Hasbro to either re-release Doc Ock, or do him possibly as a build a figure, it made the extra cost easier to swallow. Plus, I have a feeling that when we do get him eventually, he won't be as well done overall. Better to drop 40 dollars now, than to buy possibly an entire wave sometime down the line, only to be ultimately disappointed in some fashion.

The silver and green schemed Doc Ock that you mentioned is the re-release version of the figure that I mentioned a couple of times. It was released with Hasbro's Spider-Man Origins line, which debuted shortly after Hasbro acquired the license from Toy Biz. Since the line was fairly new, most of the stuff that was put out for the line were re-releases of older Toy Biz molds, only with paint variations to identify them more easily as a re-release, and to give collectors a chance to either pick up some older releases that had since jumped to crazy prices on the secondary market (remember, this was the early 2000's, where prices on older waves of Marvel Legends would fetch a pretty penny...) or missed out on entirely the first time around.

It came down to both that version and the original Toy Biz versions when I was hunting him down, but the seller liked my offer for the classic version while the other just kinda sat on it, so I snagged him up! Who wants anything other than classic Otto anyways? lol
