Add the Marvel Universe Modular Armor Iron Man to that list. Modern looking, and is actually one of the ones that got me into MU. Definitely get one of the 2012 Hulks, that's a must. Not sure how modern he is, but I HAVE to recommend Ares, as you get a completely original sculpt, and he is the best balancer of my ENTIRE collection.

Also, the two-pack Daredevil(or its re-release)works in any period, and the Amazing Spider-man Ultra poseable figure is my go-to Spidey, but that depends on your stance on movie figures.
