Domshen! awesome info, I live off of Powell and have yet to see ANY wave 8 at retail. Actually pre-ordered that wave on the net months ago and thought I might feel a little stupid when I saw at least a couple of them at retail, yet here we are in the midst of wave 10 sightings and still NOTHING! Grrr... Hit a couple of Targets yesterday and today went to the Eastport Walmart as well as the one further down 82nd in Clackamas and the Clackamas Toys 'R Us... NOTHING! Still the same Iron Man/Human Torch/Hobgoblin trifecta of nonsense! I actually chatted up a stocker and she told me (seemingly important info to follow) that they have a regional distribution consultant that comes in to check their stock. Now here's the thing, he's not able to make a distinction between waves of a particular toyline due to having to monitor multiple, so ultimately he comes in, sees the 2 FRICKIN' PEGS they've alloted to the MU, sees they're full (albeit of that whole Iron Man/Human Torch/Hobgoblin BS) and decides that that store doesn't need any more MU figures. Sad.
So what does this mean? I mean, is the answer to go to your local Target/Walmart/Toys 'R Us and just grab all those useless figs off the pegs and hide them? I JUST WANT TO SEE MYSTIQUE! ... I also wanted to see Iron Spider-Man and before that Juggernaut... But yeah, it's sad that to get anything I'm really after I have to look online as my local retailers seem to be letting me down.
Thanks for listening!
