I then sold the Movie Master Version one, and bought Mafex one.

I also do not think that Mafex or S.H. Figuarts will produce more Zod Figures, but it could still happen
as it happened with Mafex Dark Knight 2.0 Figure.

It's definitely not a perfect situation, but there's no real way to ever know when another company might offer a better version of something.

Honestly, for myself, if I'm happy with a figure as it is, I really don't care or think about the possibility of another company making a "better" version later on.

I don't think these are necesarily meant to match-up specifically with the Icons line. I think it's more to do with this new 6" scale possibly becoming their new status quo for the future.
