Batman: Year Two introduces a lesser-known Bat Villain called The Reaper. The Reaper is a like a twisted version of Batman, dishing out his own brand of Lethal, Vigilante Justice. He has only made a few appearances in the comics, but I always thought he looked really badass and it's kinda obvious that he was the inspiration for the character design of The Phantasm.
The Reaper started out as a Marvel Legends Grim Reaper that I bought on Clearance for $5. His Shoulder Pads, Boots and Gauntlets are from a Create a WWE Superstar set. The details on his costume are all hand sculpted from Miliput. His Hood came from a Funko Legacy Magic figure and the Skull Mask was a charm that came attached to a bottle of hot sauce. The Bladed Mace Gloves are balls of Miliput with ML Grim Reaper Blades attached to them. The Spikes on his Maces and his Kneepads are the tips of Toothpicks that were superglued into place. I painted him all black and dry brushed on a bunch of layers of red acrylic paint. Finally his cape was cut from a black athletic shirt and glued onto his shoulder pads. He’s not 100% accurate to the way he appears in the comics, but I’m still pretty happy with the way he turned out. Thanks!
