Finally, a decent action figure of Shredder...and it's in video game colors, isn't sold as an individual figure, is a SDCC exclusive..CURSE YOU PLAYMATES!!!
Oh well, I will wait for the more expensive fragile Shredder from S.H. Figuarts, my playline turtles will probably kick his butt. By the way, am I the only one who noticed Sherdder female posture in the box? His legs are going inward and his arms are very close to his body.

I don't agree (& i'm not even american ). Hasbro is doing a great job with ML & Star Wars, DCC produce some very good stuff, Funko's Legacy are more than decent, Mezco one:12 looks like a new standard for 6" figures, & McFarlane is on the rise with their new 6/7" line + NECA you already mentioned.
So, OK, Mattel & (maybe) Playmates suck, but they're not the majority of U.S toys manufacturers.
When it comes to playline toys (which I more care about) the toy industry indeed suck and this due to the following reasons; Children less play with classic toys and instead play more unimaginative video games, the toy companies are enslaved to licenses instead of making original stuff and the main reason is USA becoming more and more socialist with heavy regulation and high taxes following the path of venezuela...
