I gotta say, I really look forward to the SDCC figures every year. Even though I may not be impressed at first, once I have the toys in my hands, I'm usually never disappointed.

First, the Matty exclusives:
DC Universe Classics Plastic Man.

The box art is awesome for this toy. He comes in a special 75 Years of Super Powers mailer box, with some fantastic detailed art on the front and back (both the same image).

Plastic Man comes with a pair of rubbery arms, file cards, rubbery neck extension, big cardboard glasses, a spring, paddle with ball, and what looks like a fly swatter.

You can take his legs off, as well as his arms, which come off by pressing a button on his back which releases his arms at the shoulder joint. You can mix and match every limb, which makes the fun factor on this toy just awesome!

SDCC Toy Story 3 Lotso.

Lotso is a new character in Toy Story 3. He's such a selfish character, and I love it! I can't open this because it will be used as a gift, but basically he's an action figure in scale to the 3.75" Toy Story line. He's plastic, and flocked, which makes him look like a stuffed bear. He even smells like strawberries, just like in the movie! (I actually have another one on the way since I wanted one for myself!)

SDCC DC Infinite Heroes Starro the Conqueror!

I'll be honest, I didn't intend to get this set, but at the last minute as I was checking out, I picked it up. At $50, it was pricey. I will say though, I love it. What can I say? THIS is what exclusives should be about. The packaging is amazing! It comes with a mailer box with the DC Trinity on the front.

This is a massive boxed set. For size comparison, here's it next to C&C Darkseid. It's a whopping 17" tall!

The back displays some very cool comic art.

The figures have your typical DC Infinite Heroes articulation. All the characters sport the new articulation, except Green Lantern, which is the same one that came in the First Flight DVD.

There are lights and sounds with this set. When you press the button, Batman himself, Kevin Conroy does the voice over. He gives a quick background on the set as well as a brief bio of each figure. All you do is press the button to go to the next figure and the light will light up.

Needless to say, I will be keeping this one MISB. It's just too good to open. It's begging to be displayed, which is what I will do. Don't know what I'll do with the mailer box though. Too good to throw out, too big to store anywhere.

Matty has really outdone themselves this year. Their exclusives are just awesome, and truly blows Hasbro out of the water, IMO. The packaging, the figures, everything perfectly captures the spirit of "exclusives." The one that Hasbro did that could compare, is probably the Galactus, but I didn't pick him up knowing I could find him at retail eventually.

Here's a youtube video by Matty showing what this set can do:
