I also asked if he could just do a quick bit for the video of the festival I was putting together but he wanted me to pay for him to do it.
Ari Leahman, on the other hand, was amazing. He gave us an autographed CD for free when we were buying a poster to get autographed and did a bit for my video without asking for a single cent.

I'm sorry that your experience with Kane wasn't so great. To be fair, Kane was about 15 minutes late to his autograph appearance, but it was because his photo opportunity session ran overtime, and he was pretty apologetic to those of us waiting the extra time. He was courteous, and very friendly on that day, and took his time chatting with each of his fans, giving me a thumbs up on my cosplay as well as a few compliments, and while I had paid for my photo op in advance, he did give a some freebies to couple of small children dressed in Jason costumes, even calling over fellow horror icon Tony Todd (who was in the next booth) for a group shot.
He did take a tone with one fan though who gave him a Funk Pop of Jason, which is in his Freddy vs Jason look, (that alone made me cringe, since Kane was very vocal in his discontent for being passed up for the role in the film.) and the fan made a remark that Part 6 was his favorite film...to which Kane responded calmly, but in a firm voice "I wasn't in either of those you know..." He also took exception to the blue eye on my NECA figure he autographed, asking me if his eyes looked blue, to which I told him that he needs to get at NECA and tell them to get with the program, as we've got a Freddy figure for nearly every movie he was in, and we still haven't got any updated figures of of the Jasons played by Kane on screen. To that he said, "That makes me want to kill somebody..." =P
