No offense...but this is one of those attitudes that I've never understood in the collector community. Just because a toy isn't carrying articulation not to your own personal standards, does it exactly dismiss it from being an action figure. Black Series figures don't have double jointed elbows. NECA's offers very don't either, and 90% of their lines have no ab crunch. Many Transformers these days don't come with wrist swivels. What about all the cuts that the 3.75" fans got with their Marvel Universe figures? These might be apples to oranges comparisons, but in the grand scheme of things, does this mean that these are no longer action figures as well? Going by your own definition, that would mean that the only toys deserving of the label "action figures" would be entitled to a choice few here stateside, and the imported stuff from Japan.

What has Mattel honestly put out that's better? (Again, we're not including their Matty Collector or WWE lines, because WWE Elite figures outclass half the stuff on the TRU shelf today and while I am not a huge fan, I think the MOTUC line is triple A.)

-The other figures in the BvS Multiverse waves? No.
-Those new Ghostbuster figures? Nope...those aren't better either.
-The upcoming Suicide Squad stuff? Eww....
-The upcoming Halo stuff might be better...but I'll reserve judgement until I see the final product, and even then, that stuff isn't out yet. Even so, that makes Aquaman better by default, as my statement said "best Mattel has made in a while," and the Halo stuff has yet to be released.

I'm not trying to apologize for a line that is really barebones and leaves much to be desired in the DC Multiverse one. However, with what we've been handed thus far, I just honestly feel like he's the best out of the bunch (and I have a few of them.) The rest can go swim with the fishes.

Exactly. Thank you. You get it. =)
