It's not the sculpt that irks me, the Abomination is supposed to be fugly, it's the height and girth. I think the problem that most people have with the Abomination figure is that he's smaller than even the current versions of the Hulk. A dilemma that portends scale issues with any forthcoming classic Hulk figure; any coming Hulk will likely be in the same scale, which stands in contrast to recent calls for a 'bigger than life' comic Hulk. Fluctuations in how the Abomination is depicted vary by artist and era, of course. However, traditionally speaking, Blonsky has been either as large or larger than Banner's gamma-spawned persona...not smaller.

This Abomination reminds me of the gray TB Hulk Classics Abomination, which also sported a decent sculpt with poor proportioning. I still find my Legends: Onslaught Abomination to be the most satisfying, with the exception of the lack of an ab-crunch.

Hope that helps!

Very nice, Blunder! As much as we complain on here about lack of sculpted detail/quality of plastic, Hasbro have managed to bring out so many fantastic figures over the past year alone. I mean, we finally have a Misty Knight, for crying out loud.
You're right Von, there have been a great number of stellar figs in 2016. That said, I expected a dip in quality the minute Hasbro announced, "more legends in one year than ever before." Any product maker that intends to put out a significant amount more of it wares than previously enjoyed, runs the inevitable risk of a decrease in quality...especially if they don't increase the number of production facilities. Obviously, I have no clue what Hasbro's doing on the logistical side of things, but if I know anything about corporate business trends, I doubt they are ramping up money spent on Chinese manufacturing costs and labor. I think this might explain the head scratching duds that crop up from time to time (such as Simon et al). Although, over-all, I think they are doing a very good job considering the sheer number of releases. I'd be ok with 'less for more' though as far as quality is concerned...and my pockets lol
