I say go ahead and open them. I open literally everything I get with no thought toward future resale. This hobby is about having fun. Don't stress over this. And as far as Star Wars goes, there's so much out there thatt keeping them MIB is not going to help them hold their value all that much anyway. So free them, handle them, make little dioramas with them, put them up at your desk at work, whatever! Just stop worrying and have fun. And if you do decide you want to sell them later, have a yard sale. I've had two where I've sold Star Wars figures for a buck a piece, and they flew both times. Hope this helps.
