I would say collect what you love, ultimately you work for your $$$ to if your dropping money on toys, buy what draws your eye and catches at your heart because opened or not you have to live with them. Star wars has tons of merchandise ranging from vintage and rare to common and new, so I would say either pick the character(s) you like such as a nice yoda collection or vintage collection etc, there's 2 much merchandise to collect it all so pick what you like, and my rule of thumb if I spend over a certain $ amount on 1 toy I judge to see if its worth keeping in the package or not. If u hear that a variant is rare and there's 2 on the shelf and you can afford it buy 1 to open and 1 to keep, so your the collector make your own judgment call, I will say though that collections look cooler opened then left in package
