Curiosity finally took over and I picked up my first Halo figure by Mattel, none other than the Chief.
I really didn't know what to expect at first, but I have to say, I'm honestly impressed! I didn't think Mattel could match Mcfarlane one bit, but not only have they matched them, but I think they've already beaten them as Master Chief here very easily ranks in my top 5 figure purchases that I've picked up this year. Say what you want about not having finer paint details like a wash (which can easily be added yourself,) but with the removable armor, poseability, price point (for the interchangeable parts and the figure itself, 20 dollars is an awesome price point) not to mention the fun factor, this guy puts Mcfarlane's line to shame. That's coming from someone who's not even a huge fan of the game (I haven't played a Halo game since Reach...) Seeing this makes me wonder if Mattel cares at all about their DC Multiverse figures, because honestly,
THIS
is how good it could be.
