Yeah...I could understand that frustration, although Mcfarlane was really phoning it in with those last waves of Halo 5 figures. The paints on them were really terrible on most, and half of them couldn't properly hold their weapons without modding them in some way.
I think Mattel is really off to a good start with these. They're not perfect, and there's still room for improvement (some of the armor pieces are difficult to get on, and since they peg into the figure rather snugly, it is possible to stress and break those pegs off, and the joints are a little more loose than I'd like them to be,) but few new lines of toys ever get it entirely right, especially with those first waves.
I'm not going to go absolutely crazy into these, as I said, I'm not a huge fan of the game in general and I thought the figure looked neat, so I said why not. I now have a (slightly undersized) Master Chief I could insert into my 6" collection (he'll be joining my Guardians of the Galaxy very soon,) and works well enough with most of the MCU Marvel Legends. If they make certain armor types such as the JFO, ODST, or the Hazops in rust or orange, I'll definitely be picking up a few more of these in the future.
I'm really tempted to get the Elite that comes with the Ghost just so I can get my hands on that vehicle, as it looks sweet.
