Like their previous Superman releases this appears to qualify as not interfering with Mattel. The 1/4 scale figures were too big to compete with anything and the individual 7" figure was technically part of a DVD promotion not a standard release. Because this is a two pack with a very specific audience Mattel probably doesn't care.
