I completely understand about the faces. Trying to paint eyes is not fun. My concern with any skin elements is matching skin tone. That is the biggest reason why the Punisher I am very slowly working on has a full shirt instead of painting part of the arms to create a T-shirt look.

Damn, Rogue is even more impressive to me now. You did a superb job free handing that! I also totally agree about cleaning up with the black. I did the same with my Deadpool. It makes it SO much easier than trying to paint within the confines of what you want the final result to be. It actually surprises me that it is rarely if ever mentioned in tutorials.
