I have never been a big Punisher fan. Then just as I thought I might want one for my collection, Loosecollector released his amazing 2 in 1 Punisher which I then proceeded to stare at for the next month. I had never heard of the Marco Checchetto version so I went to check out the 2011 series and absolutely loved his design for Punisher. It represented so much of what I always thought Punisher should look like and the rules I had for what I wanted my Punisher to have and not to have.
1. No abdomen teeth pouches. I have always thought it looked ridiculous.
2. No white costume pieces. It always seemed odd to me that Punisher would have white elements other than the skull.
3. Darker and grittier, banged up and bandaged with a skull emblem that looked more like spray paint or a sloppy brush job.
My custom borrows heavily from the Checchetto design and Loosecollector's custom design. It is also my first attempt at sculpting anything. I definitely need some more practice but I am happy with how the bandages turned out. I ended up giving him a couple of looks through different vests and heads.
Recipe:
Body, Upper Arms, Upper Legs: Agent Venom
Lower Arms & Hands: Steve Rogers
Lower Legs, Feet & Utility Vest: Ultimate Captain America
Left Leg Holster & Belt: Demolition Man/Scourge
Kneepads: Suicide Squad Deadshot
Tactical Vest: Nuke with additional pieces from various Captain America belts
Skull Head: random cast
Bandaged Head: Kraven plus some paint for the beard and sculpted bandages
Right Leg Holster & Shirt Collar: Nick Fury
