I know I'm going to get some grief for this, but I say why not just have 1 Spider-Man wave a year and get in some more X-Men waves.

I mean, I get Spider-Man is their #1 character, but I just feel like 2-3 waves a year is a bit much.

Think about it. 2017 is going to probably shape up like this: Spider-Man wave that's been revealed, BAF unknown (Sandman most likely)
Warlock X-Men Wave
GOTG 2 Cat-Person thing wave.

Most likely a Spider-Man Homecoming wave, a Thor Wave and yet another Spider-man wave at the end of the year. With possibly the Wolverine wave I am beginning to lose hope in being real, since it only has popped up on the rumor-net once, months ago.

6-7 waves, and 3 of them will be Spider-Man, 4 will be movies (1 of which is a Spider-Man wave.) While I understand they want to promote their movies I just feel it's a bit unbalanced. SO the question is where to go from here? 2017 is likely already well planned out/beginning tooling production and factory work so it would be 2018 at latest.

2018 COULD shape up like this (not in order): X-Men wave ,Spider-Man wave 1, Spider-Man wave 2, Black Panther wave, Ant-Man wave, Avengers wave...and likely another Avengers wave. Just basing that on movies and production of waves history. I fully would be fine with one spider-man wave and 2 X-Men waves. Or more in fact, if they were to combine the Ant-Man wave into a second Avengers wave, or even BLack Panther into the second Avenges wave. But I really think Spider-Man is where the line gets over done.

2019 is much the same. I'm envisioning (not in order) Spider Man wave 1, Spider-Man wave 2, X-men wave 1, Avengers wave 1, Avengers wave 2, possibly mixed with Inhumans Captain Marvel wave 1 and either another Spider-Man or X-Men wave. You can do much the same with this year as with 2018.

All the above doesn't take into account thoughts on a F4 wave..which I'd love to see somewhere, but not at the cost of another X-wave.

My point being it's not the Avengers that's overbalanced in production. THere are many characters to pull from. And they're absolutely going to promote their movies and understandably so, so you can't really say that one wave a movie is being over done. It's Spider-Man. And I do like Spider-Man, and honestly understand why they want waves focused on him. But he's had his time in the sun with multiple waves. It's time for the X-Men, the OTHER comic pillar that kept Marvel afloat in the 80's and 90's, to get their due in Marvel Legends form.
