Easy solution. So then post more pictures of figures and discuss the figures you like. You know, the whole point of this as an appreciation thread.

The topic doesn't need to stay in the side bar for bumped posts if there's nothing to post or nothing to share or ask about. It doesn't need to be bumped by multi-spam posts either. So what if it drops down to some of us having to use the normal forum interface to post something relevant. That's normal forum stuff. Inflating the page count with multi-spam-posting doesn't provide anything people that would check this topic would want to see, which is usually pictures or discussion about the figures or media forms themselves.

And multi-spam posts don't really bump the topic anyway when they're all done within less than 15 minutes of each other. If you're talking hours where other topics have had posts that made it drop off the side bar, then okay sure, whatever. But 5-8 double posting in under an hour or half-hour, is excessive and doesn't provide 'bumps' that matter. Double posting can happen. Especially if someone asked something you didn't see because you were posting something else. And multi picture posting may have beneficial effects for browsers and mobile as Plikster pointed out. Otherwise, the smart thing is to use the "multi-quote" button and read through from what you missed, and then reply to all of the multi-quotes you hit. We did get a whole tutorial on helping improve some figures from Mordiganne. And comedic commentary is natural forum stuff, though should stay within reason if we want to foster an inclusive environment for collectors of all types or ages.

We're still here sharing what we love, or trying to at least.
So the toys have slowed for now. Not really a big deal, they'll pick up again. It comes in waves because of how the market itself works. It'll pick back up in pace when the retail market can hold it stronger again. Hasbro is already showing signs that might be the case later with expanding their 3.75''-4'' design teams as worthwhile information that was provided in this topic earlier too.

We've had the market flooded with our scale for years. It toned down because of over-saturation. That saturation is finally tapering off and the backlog is caught up. Then the cycle will repeat. It's normal market fluctuations that happens across a lot of brands from all companies. Halo mega bloks have gone through it, so have Transformers, and even GI Joe is running through a market shift currently hopefully before it comes back to shelves in a big way.

We should appreciate what we've had, and what's still to come. Not whine about why we aren't getting preferential treatment. Enjoy what you enjoy.

Overall, I'm starting to think maybe toyark could get an improvement from getting an overhaul like TFW2005 did. The ignore system is much more thorough, and the ease of registering fosters more new blood, which could grow the informative discourse more. And there's also an interesting debate point on the side bar removal. In one instance it creates ego and superficial drives to 'remain on top' but it was initially there to show what people are talking about now, and where their interests direct them to talk about as potential prevalent market checks by outsiders as well as draw in new users because some topics of discussion may be to their interests. Which in instances of this topic has devolved into whining about lower figure numbers and blaming hasbro for that when it's normal toy market stuff that even Toy Biz faced while they were in the midst of their boom(pre-legends era).

Beyond that I bought Captain Marvel, Living Laser, Gamora, the Thor comics set and the Captains comics set earlier this year. I have passed up twice on buying the three new comics packs because they don't interest me. SDCC showed me all of one figure I'm interested in getting: ANAD Wolverine.

I'm not saying the line itself is dead. I'm just saying the direction they're going in is not for me, it appears. It may be wonderful for others and I'm not going to pass judgement or anyone for that, everyone's opinion is right for them. I just feel like i have nothing to really talk about in this line anymore.
I'd post more pictures, but since I have a lighting issue, my cameras don't like auto focusing right anymore. Soon as I can get that resolved I have tons of pics I want to post again. It's one of the reasons I haven't done a full photo shoot with Avengers line ups in the armory. Which I really need to finish the version 2 of, but I've run out of pieces and they don't make the KO brand boxo'blox anymore I'd been using for most of it. At 550 count per box at 10-15 bucks, that made building it so much cheaper than the normal 30 USD+ Lego charges.
