Yeah, i would've preferred if they followed continuity too.
Anyway, i think the tunic over the chest armor looks much cooler. Also, it breaks up the redundancy of that armor pattern that basically goes from shoulder to shoulder across the chest.
The 3 3/4 RO vader seems to have the tunic over the chest piece so I'm not really sure which version exactly is going to appear in the movie.

Yea there hasn't really been any good shots of Vader from Rogue One. I also just noticed this figure doesn't have the black chain for the cape around his neck. Makes the cape look super weird, like it just goes under his helmet. Curious to see what he'll look like in the film.
