It does indeed look like a terrific figure. As to whether it's the best or not that completely depends on one's preference of Freddy. I for one prefer the darker, more serious tone of the original but there are plenty of people who prefer the more colorful, playful Freddy introduced in Dream Warriors.

Movie wise, the first Nightmare On Elm Street is still my favorite of the series. It's still holds up as a terrifying experience throughout. After that, Dream Warriors is second with the rest well below that for me.

Freddy design wise, I've always loved his look in Freddy's Revenge. The movie itself is nowhere near the top. But Freddy looked so purely demonic. And I loved the more intense looking scarring as well as the blades coming from his hands later in the movie.
