I agree with you on the MU doctor strange i kept one still in package and opened the other which was a two pack with silver surfer... This particular Doc Strange I saved what i could of him from a home who's children gave the figure to there dog (my brothers kids).

The effects idea i was given by a youtuber who goes by the name Zubbie. She is a fellow collector and make great custom accessorie ideas on her channel. Give her channel a look!
