It might be, I was a kid though so I don't have much experience with early 90's-2000 spawn figures but I know they looked cool as hell with limited articulation.

It's extremely a disservice for someone to make statues with articulation, I mean Marvel Select does it but I think you can pull off a few poses but still very limited. If we are going for aesthetics, then pick the best pose and keep it static. Being a person who collects both statues and articulated figures, I wish they would stop trying to make this hybrid, it works very poorly and usually leads to QC issues. It sucks too because he had the opportunity to make a serious comeback in the market but I feel he's taken a bit of cream of what Funko is doing with the way and replicating a similar formula it through the "Color Top" Series.
