The X-men and GotG waves will be pre-ordered; X-men because it's likely to be hard to find in stores and GotG because I'm all over any Cosmic Marvel toy production. Exactly. When I think about how many figures I bought this year at retail/e-tail (which is maybe only 10% more than retail) that I have seen between now and then and are now less than $15, it really does make me wish I'd waited. As you say there will always be waves/figures we feel the need to have sooner rather than later, but I think the fact that Hasbro does seem to be on the upswing as far as volume of figures also means we should consider adopting different aproaches to collecting. It was one thing when there were 4-5 waves a year but now it seems like the standards may be 7-8, which is no small potatoes when you're talking $20 a figure.
