Toys are a bit hit and miss in Europe - whether we get a toyline at all and whether a particular wave will hit. Most toys tend to be sold in big out of town shops so you won't find them in central London or Paris.

That said, there are a few cool places in central London. Hamleys is a big toy shop on Regent Street, similar to the TRU in Times Square as its a flagship store. They have a wide range of stuff, but over priced. Worth going to see some of the displays like Lego if you're into it.

Otherwise, there's Forbidden Planet on Shaftsbury Avenue, basically a big comic book shop but has lots of toys as well, sometimes stuff that's not available anywhere else. I think that's your best bet for a cool souvenir.

There's also Orbital on Great Newport Road, more of a traditional comic book shop, but has a few Transformers (including import stuff) and Marvel figures.

Having been to Paris a couple of times I've never spotted a toyshop anywhere, they must exist though!

Most big department stores in both cities will have a toy section as well, but probably nothing too exciting.

Hope you have a great time!
