If you're searching for japanese toys, though, Paris is the place to go with several manga stores or import shops. Go around Notre-Dame at Hayaku Shop or Album, rue Dante.

If you have acces to a car, you can try to hit the big toys retail chains like ToysRus or King Jouet; sometimes they have time sales like the 6inch Tie Fighter for 69 euros last month.
Thanks Goldengreg, I am not sure I will have access to a car, while I'm in Paris. So I have my feet and the metro to rely on I will defintly keep my eyes open for the places you recommend.
Looking for things usually not offered in the states since like you said I can get them here cheaper.
