I do have an interest in other non-Peter Parker Spider-men figures and villains as well, so those waves still can be of interest to me, depending on the figures.

Toy wise spider-man is their bread and butter. That will not change. However currently in the comics. The oversaturation is currently with deadpool....

Let's also not forget they make how many different iron man, captain america and war machine variations as well. Hasbro makes what will make them money.
