Just for clarity, I was aware of this. I was using a fictional RRP as a simplification to show how I think the margins played on the figures (because it was easy!)

I'm sure that cross-promotion would also have a direct impact on the sales of related merchandise. So, say NERF is a steady seller overall, when a Star Wars movie comes out, then Star Wars related product - like action figures - would spike in sales. I would imagine action figure sales lines to be a series of spikes related to available media, and other toylines to be more steady. But who knows really...
