I think it was the period from 2006 to 2011, Hasbro's first several years with the line, when their figures weren't all that good; in 2012, Hasbro restarted the line (after relegating it to only be two-packs back in 2010) with Return of Marvel Legends, and since then, the line has only been getting better and better.
