As fun as the fight seen was in "Retaliation," it took up far too much time in the film and really added little to nothing to it in terms of advancing the story and was largely irrelevant. I will argue that Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow are just a small part of the Joe universe, and in the original cartoon series were not really that important to begin with. The most memorable thing you will see Snake Eyes do in the original show was dressed like Boy George and breakdance with a two stepping wolf, while Storm Shadow will be repeatedly defeated in combat by Spirit, not his mortal childhood enemy Snake Eyes.

I remember the original teaser poster for the next Joe movie featuring the Arashikage logo, which left me groaning in disgust. Hopefully, since the series is being rebooted, this will be something that they rethink so they can get back to the real enemy at hand, which is and always has been Cobra Commander and Cobra.

It's G.I.Joe, not G.I.Ninjas. Snake-Eyes was a commando first, the ninja stuff did't come out until Storm Shadow. While I do find the ninja stuff cool, but I agree that it should be a side story, the main theme of G.I.Joe should go back to its root: MILITARY.
