Yeah, it made sense until the recent Marvel Legends struck a great balance between sculpt and articulation. Specifically their joints where the upper legs meet the crotch are just really good. So now Mattel is just outdated. And of course, ankle pivot was invented too, which actually manages to take nothing from the sculpt, so Mattel just sucks.
