Eh, they just think it looks pretty in the package. I have a friend who keeps some things in-package, hanging on the wall, and the rest is all loose. As far as I can tell, to him it displays better in the package than in any pose he could put it in on the shelf. My wife and I have kept a few toys in their packages (as in, we do take them out and pose them on the shelf, but when they rotate off the display, they go back in their box) due to the packages just looking really friggin' cool (for instance, the SDCC 'Rust In Pieces' TF Prime Cliffjumper, or any MP Transformer we get). Not mint, not sealed, but hey, they got an awesome box.

Talk about holy grails... I remember both SOTA and High Dreams (they were making the Capcom vs SNK 2 line) showed off some fantastic items that, ultimately, got cancelled. As a fighting game fan, it was a painful reality.
