I disagree about the 100 years thing, but yeah I agree that it was a jerk move of Harrison to sign on just to get killed off. He never has and never really will appreciate the fact that he is a big part of Star Wars, he's really ungrateful IMO.

I also am not a fan of their son being Kylo Ren. Before the movie came out, I was hoping he would be an outsider who was a kid during the Empire and was trying to be the next Darth Vader.
